Job description

Contract roles are geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work.

Sia Title: Project Consultant (Exempt Contractor) 

Project Title: Senior Project Manager-Post M&A Integration

Level: Mid-Senior

Project Length: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 12 months 

Project Hours:  40 hours/week (has to be above 30 hours to be full-time)

Location: Remote 

The expected compensation range for this contract is $150k to $170k per year. The exact pay rate will vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to skills, experience, and location.

Key Responsibilities: One of our premier clients is seeking an experienced integration senior project manager to help successfully manage the diligence and/or integration of the company's acquired entities. Working with cross-functional teams, successful candidates are skilled project managers with broad functional knowledge who can see the big picture while juggling a myriad of details.

  • Form and lead the cross-functional team to create a detailed integration project plan.
  • Manage the project to keep the milestones on track and, using sound judgment and excellent teamwork skills, address any issues.
  • Regularly report progress, escalating issues, if necessary, to Integration management and Firm Execs 
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business M&A goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • At the project's conclusion, help with retrospective analysis to improve our M&A playbooks for the next deal.

Qualifications

  • 7 years plus of applicable experience, including managing various projects of increasing responsibility, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or relevant work experience
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced MS Office skills: Project, Vision, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint
  • Familiarity with M&A tools including Virtual Data Rooms is a plus.
  • Has the ability to work multi-task and manage tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
  • A high degree of business acumen and experience with mergers and acquisition diligence and integration activities
  • Demonstrated excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to formulate the big picture while working on project details
  • Proven success at influencing and leading resources across multiple functions, workgroups, and management levels (demonstrates ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.)
  • Established credibility with upper management
  • A tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility to changing projects and priorities
  • Strong written skills
  • Good judgement (regarding who to involve in what projects)
  • Financial services industry knowledge is highly desireable but not required
