California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): Proposed Regulations

On October 10, 2019, the Office of the Attorney General of California released a draft of the Proposed Text of Regulations (“Proposed Regulations”) for the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). The Proposed Regulations added requirements that go materially beyond the statute and are a guide to businesses on how to comply with CCPA. 


Additionally, on October 11, 2019, California’s Governor, Gavin Newsom, has signed amendments to the CCPA regulations.
