Job description

We are actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Contracts Administrator to join our consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial contracting experience, and the ability to work autonomously with a sense of urgency. The person in this role will be responsible for managing contracts as well as reviewing and drafting other legal documents. This role is critical to supporting the Business Development pipeline, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-tier review of contract documents to flag potential concerns or issues for escalation to the responsibilities.
  • Review and draft legal documents: contracts, policies/procedures and correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support managing legal records and filing system, coordinate contract execution, and review outside counsel invoices.
  • Manage projects across multiple departments and internal reporting on project status.
  • Learn and execute the current contracting process. Evaluate and implement systems to streamline the contracting process and enhance overall company effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries and issues, providing expert advice and guidance to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into contract terms that mitigate risk while maintaining commercial opportunities.
  • Update and maintain the repositories for contract status tracking, standard contract templates, tools, techniques, and know-how.
  • Evaluate the impact of negotiated terms, identify potential risks, and ensure the overall commercial arrangement aligns with LBG’s objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Prior experience with contract review and negotiations highly preferred.
  • Experience working with commercial contracts required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision while also having the ability to discern when to escalate.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects or tasks.
  • Strong writing and grammar for drafting/reviewing documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for negotiating and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent customer service and responsiveness is important.

Compensation for this role is between $77,000 and $126,000. 

Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and market location.
